It supports adjusting to new realities, overcoming trauma, and rebuilding your identity after loss.

When life changes and losses feel like an end

Most people arrive here when they have suffered an overwhelming loss that they are struggling to cope with.  When shock, anger, sadness, have set in. When the exhaustion of emotions and the struggle to keep going have become too much to bear. When our identity and Life have to be re-built without whom or what we have lost. When trauma associated with our loss has blocked us from functioning in our daily life. When the readiness to begin the healing process is present.

Together we slowly move through the stages of grief, understanding each stage as a circular process that is processed layer by layer. Your personal, social, cultural, and familial beliefs and expectations are explored in how they have shaped your grieving process. Faith and Spiritual perceptions are examined in what comes next.

Using the seven stages of grief, each is explored for greater insight into understanding and processing the various emotions that surface.

Coping Mechanisms

Discovering what coping mechanisms most resonate with assisting you in processing and giving respite to your grief. This also includes examining the physical symptoms of grief and their effect on your life.

Grief & Trauma

Understanding the differentiation between grief and traumatic grief. Addressing them separately for spherical healing.  Examining the physical responses to traumatic grief and techniques to mitigate them.

Loss of Identity & Grief

Accepting the changes in our life moving forward and who we are now regarding these changes. Learning to move forward with a changed reality and circumstances that need to be integrated. Learning coping mechanisms and how to embrace moving forward with an altered self-identity.

Inside a Session

What 60 minutes actually looks like.

All sessions are private, unhurried, and conversational…a deliberate dialogue. They emphasize Self-Discovery combining both psychological and spiritual modalities, whatever the moment calls for. You leave with insight, a sense of healing and being heard, in addition to applicable and tangible strategies you can implement. All sessions build on the prior creating a continuum of self-understanding and growth.
